NNA ndash; President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday affirmed his solidarity with Lebanonrsquo;s social and economic sectors during a visit to the Economic, Social and Environmental Council.

ldquo;This is the placemdash;indeed the only placemdash;where workers and employers meet with all the forces behind national production and the engines of our broad economy,rdquo; the president stated.

ldquo;I am the son of this land, rising from its roots, its soil, and the sweat of hardworking brows. With no complexes of any kind, and no pretensions of any sort, I need youmdash;as I need every free Lebanese,rdquo; the President declared.

Aoun further pledged to defend the rights and responsibilities of all stakeholders, adding: ldquo;I am here today to commit to standing with youmdash;to protect your rights and duties, and to take refuge in your opinions and ideasmdash;so that together, we can achieve what is best for our people and our nation. For the good of humanity, in the homeland of humanitymdash;Lebanon.rdquo;
