Doha, October 06 (QNA) – The Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced today the winners of the Best of the Month awards for August and September in the 2026-2027 Doha Bank Stars League season, including Best Player, Best Coach and Best Under-23 Player.

In a statement, QSL said the selections were made by the Technical Committee at its Football Development Department. Romanian Razvan Lucescu of Al Sadd won the Best Coach award, Al Sadd star Akram Afif was named Best Player, while Lusail player Hamidreza Firouzi received the Best Under-23 Player award.

The Technical Committee at QSL’s Football Development Department also selected the Best Save, Best Goal and Best XI for August and September. Al Shamal goalkeeper Babacar Seck won the Best Save award for his save during his team’s match against Al Gharafa in the second round, while Al Sailiya striker Ali Olwan won the Best Goal award for his goal against Al Sadd in the fourth round.

The Best XI for August and September comprised Jassam Al Hail (Al Arabi); Pedro Miguel, Paulo Otavio, Roberto Firmino, Akram Afif and Claudinho (Al Sadd); David Garcia and Roger Guedes (Al Rayyan); Mowafaq Awad (Al Shahania); and Naif Al Hadhrami and Hamidreza Firouzi (Lusail). (QNA)
