Doha, September 29 (QNA) – Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched on Tuesday a two-day training course on concepts of diplomatic protocol and etiquette, aimed at enhancing communication skills and professional conduct in formal settings, as part of QNA Training Center’s 2026 training plan.
With the attendance of a number of QNA and government employees, the course aims to enhance the professional appearance and conduct which reflect positively on the employee and organization represented, and to improve refined verbal and non-verbal communication skills in formal situations. Additionally, the course aims to introduce etiquette and official protocol for various situations, and boosting participants’ self-confidence when interacting with individuals across different levels and positions.
In its core modules, the course provided an introduction to protocol by defining the concepts of etiquette and protocol and the differences between them, as well as the various types of protocol. The course also covered the concept of diplomacy, the characteristics and types of diplomatic personalities, and the impact of their absence on various interactions, in addition to the skills and methods that contribute to building a successful diplomatic personality.
The course also included a module on precedence, which addresses the classification of VIPs, titles, and honorifics, as well as the diplomatic presence in the State of Qatar. It covered the fixed rules for determining and arranging precedence according to status, along with the rules and skills for handling various situations. (QNA)
