QRCS and SARCS Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement
Damascus, September 07 (QNA) – The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Society (SARCS) to further develop cooperation between the two organizations.
The agreement, signed in the Syrian capital on Monday, includes the inauguration of a QRCS representation office in Damascus, marking a new phase of humanitarian cooperation.
QRCS President Yousef Al Khater said the agreement provides a legal framework for expanding joint humanitarian work, while the establishment of the representation office would provide the field and operational mechanism to turn the partnership into practical action, building on the historic ties between the peoples of Qatar and Syria.
Meanwhile, SARCS President Mohamed Hazem Baqleh said the agreement reflected a shared vision to move towards sustainable development and support early recovery. He highlighted the importance of rehabilitating infrastructure, empowering families economically and supporting the health sector, while continuing urgent relief efforts to meet basic humanitarian needs.
