Queen Noor Aviation University College, Royal Jordanian Air Academy celebrate Independence Day

Amman, June 3 (Petra) – Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Wednesday
led a ceremony held by Queen Noor Aviation University College and the
Royal Jordanian Air Academy to mark the 80th independence Day
anniversary.

Independence Day commemorates the start of eight decades of building
and achievement by the founding fathers and those who shaped this
journey under the wise Hashemite leadership, Director General of
Queen Noor Aviation University College, Farhan Mashaqbeh, said in
opening remarks.

He highlighted the college’s pioneering role since its establishment
in 1973 as a long-established academic institution, whose historic
transformation into a university specializing in aviation sciences
opened a new chapter of excellence and leadership.

He stressed a commitment to developing academic programs and
promoting research and innovation to prepare national talent capable
of leading the future of aviation in Jordan and the region.

Royal Jordanian Air Academy Director General Muhannad Al-Faqir said
Independence Day coincided with the 60th anniversary of the academy,
which was founded in 1966 by royal decree, one of the key
achievements of Jordan’s renaissance.

The academy stands as a testament to Jordan’s legacy of excellence
for decades, continuing its work under the patronage of His Majesty
King Abdullah II to become a specialized regional and global center,
said Al-Faqir.

The academy boasts the graduation of a distinguished group of pilots
and technicians, who hold leading positions in international
institutions and aviation companies, he said, pledging to pursue
efforts to build on successes to serve the country.

The ceremony, attended by official and military figures,
representatives of partners and supporters, staff members, and
students of the college and academy, included the screening of a
documentary showcasing key milestones in the journey of independence
and achievements in the aviation sector.
