NNA ndash;nbsp;Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, held a high-level meeting with Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council, and Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of ICAO, on the sidelines of the 2025 Facilitation Conference (FALC 2025) currently underway in Doha.
Also present at the meeting were Mohamed Abu Baker Farea, ICAOrsquo;s Regional Director for the Middle East Office, and Jorge Vargas, Director of the Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau (CDI), along with members of the Lebanese delegation: Director General of Civil Aviation Amin Jaber, Head of Beirutndash;Rafic Hariri International Airport Kamal Nassereddine, Head of Aviation Safety Omar Qaddouha, and the Ministerrsquo;s Legal Advisor Hadi Moussa.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between ICAO and Lebanon, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development at Beirut Airport, aviation safety enhancement, and facilitation services. Discussions also covered Lebanonrsquo;s access to ICAOrsquo;s technical assistance programs under the ldquo;No Country Left Behindrdquo; initiative.
FALC 2025, organized by ICAO, brings together representatives from 190 member states and serves as a key global platform for discussing aviation facilitation policies and advancing international cooperation in civil aviation.
