Russia restricts low-altitude flights and drones over Moscow

Moscow, June 17 (Petra) — Russian authorities introduced a new
package of restrictions on international and domestic flight
movements in the capital, Moscow, and several surrounding regions on
Wednesday, as part of efforts to enhance airspace security.

The Federal Air Transport Agency said in a press statement that the
measures include restrictions on the movement of light aircraft,
ultra-light aircraft, and drones.

The agency added that a minimum flight altitude of 5,200 meters has
been established to mitigate potential security risks in the
designated airspace.
