Amman, June 24 (Petra) – Senator Haya Qaraleh took part in the 8th
Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils.
According to an Upper House statement issued on Wednesday, Qaraleh
represented Senate President Faisal Fayez at the event, which is held
in Cairo from June 24-27.
Talking at the conference, Qaraleh spoke about Jordan’s “renewed”
support for all Arab causes, mainly the Palestinian issue,
emphasizing the importance of the Hashemite custodianship over
Jerusalem’s holy Islamic and Christian sites.
She reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of attacks on all Arab
countries, noting the need for an Arab alliance, a “NATO-style
alliance,” which has become imperative to protect Arab national
security, enhance regional security and improve pan-Arab deterrence.
Qaraleh also noted the importance of developing a political vision to
strengthen Arab digital sovereignty and national policies in the
digital age.
