Occupied Jerusalem, Sep. 21 (Petra) – Israeli settlers stormed the plazas of the al-Aqsa Mosque/al-Haram al-Sharif in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday under the protection of Israeli occupation police forces.
The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Department said in a statement on Sunday that dozens of settlers entered the mosque plazas in successive groups, coinciding with celebrations ahead of the Jewish new year. They performed rituals and provocative dances inside the plazas.
The statement added that the so-called “Temple Organizations” continue mobilizing large groups of settlers for mass incursions into the al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish holiday season.
