Amman, July 9 (Petra) – Government Communication Minister and
Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani said sirens were sounded by
the Public Security Directorate after Jordanian airspace was breached
by missiles fired from Iran, stressing that the threat was dealt with
and intercepted.
In a post on X, Momani said the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF)
is fully prepared to respond to any threat facing the Kingdom and is
mobilizing all efforts to protect national security and citizens’
safety.
He urged citizens and residents to follow instructions issued by the
relevant authorities, obtain information from official sources, and
avoid circulating false news.
