Beirut, June 02 (QNA) – Six people were killed and three others wounded in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, according to local sources.
Field sources said an Israeli strike on the town of Marwaniyeh killed six people and injured three others.
Separately, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that two people were killed in a drone strike targeting a vehicle in the southern town of Briqaa. A Syrian man was also killed in a strike near a hospital in the village of Toul, while another drone strike targeted Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
The towns of Harouf and Choukine were also hit in airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes. Overnight strikes on Kfarsir killed three people.
The Israeli occupation has continued to carry out strikes in southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreement that entered into force on April 16 and was extended for a second time on May 15 for an additional 45 days. The attacks have prompted UN and international warnings about a deterioration in the region’s security and humanitarian conditions. (QNA)
