Surfing: Moroccan Ramzi Boukhiam Qualifies for 2024 Championship Tour

During the Australian event in Margaret River, fifth of the nine rounds of the Championship Tour (CT) 2024 calendar, the Moroccan surfer brilliantly made the cut, thus qualifying for the last four stages of the Tour: in Tahiti (French Polynesia), El Salvador, Brazil and the Fiji Islands.

“This is exciting news for the national surfing community (…) the exceptional Ramzi Boukhiam made the cut and brilliantly qualified for the next stages of the CT! He demonstrated his talent in different global spots, thus deserving his place among the best surfers on the professional circuit”, the Royal Moroccan Surfing and Bodyboard Federation said.

During the second half of the 2024 season, the Moroccan surfer will seek a spot in the Final 5, who will compete for the title of World Champion at the end of the season.

Ramzi Boukhiam secured his ticket for the Paris-2024 Olympic Games, during the ISA World Surfing Games early March in Puerto Rico. This is his 2nd consecutive qualification for the Olympics after Tokyo 2020.

The Moroccan surfer also won the silver medal at these World Games.
