UNICEF: 11 Children Killed, Injured Every 24 Hours in Lebanon

Geneva, May 29 (QNA) – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) confirmed that 11 children were killed or injured on average every 24 hours in Lebanon last week, amid escalating Israeli airstrikes despite the ceasefire.

Since the ceasefire began in April, 55 children have been killed and 212 others injured, UNICEF spokesperson Ricardo Pires said, describing the toll as horrific.

He added that 77 children were killed or injured in the past seven days alone, reflecting the scale of the dangers children continue to face due to the ongoing hostilities. (QNA)
