NNA -nbsp;UNIFIL Deputy Spokesperson Kandice Ardiel said, ldquo;This morning, peacekeepers patrolling in support of resolution 1701 were blocked twice near Tayr Dibbah by individuals in civilian clothes.rdquo;
nbsp;ldquo;The peacekeepers took an alternative route and were followed for a time, but were able to proceed with their planned patrol. We have reported the incident to the Lebanese Armed Forces. We remind everyone that peacekeepers are working, in close coordination with the Lebanese army, to support the Government of Lebanon in the implementation of resolution 1701 at this sensitive time. Any attempt to interfere with peacekeepers fulfilling their duties is inconsistent with Lebanonrsquo;s commitment to resolution 1701,rdquo; added Ardiel.
