Amman, June 8 (Petra) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency
for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Monday it repaired and
reopened a third water well in Northern Gaza, restoring vital access
to clean drinking and domestic water for about 50,000 people.
UNRWA teams continued to work on restoring essential services and
enhancing water access for the community, as clean drinking water is
a primary goal of “our courageous colleagues on the ground,” UNRWA
said in a statement on its official website.
Across Gaza, UNRWA provides water to an average of 850,000 people
every day, said the refugee agency.
