Saudi Arabia’s Voluntary Carbon Market Fuels the Shift to a Low-Carbon
Aqaba, Oct. 6 (Petra) – The Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) and
the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) hosted a delegation
of the US Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday to explore investment
opportunities across Aqaba’s industrial, logistics, digital
technology, and tourism sectors.
The visit, coordinated by the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan
(AmCham-Jordan), brought representatives from over 30 American
companies together with local decision-makers and business leaders.
The delegation was part of a larger trade mission to Jordan
comprising more than 60 corporate representatives spanning energy,
AI, ICT, healthcare, finance, infrastructure, and agribusiness.
During the visit, delegates explored Aqaba’s strategic advantages as
a regional gateway, focusing on its industrial and digital
infrastructure, transport networks, and the benefits of the US-Jordan
Free Trade Agreement.
The itinerary included field visits to the Classic Fashion Apparel
Industry factory, the Aqaba National Vocational Training, the Aqaba
Digital Hub, and the Aqaba port ecosystem.
ASEZA Chief Commissioner Shadi Majali noted that Aqaba offers a
business-friendly environment featuring streamlined single-window
services and strategic connectivity to regional and global markets.
ADC CEO Hussein Safadi voiced the corporation’s commitment to guiding
foreign investors from initial exploration to project execution.
AmCham-Jordan Chair Samer Judeh added that the tour provided US
executives with firsthand insight into Aqaba’s multimodal transport
networks and competitive investment climate.
