New York, Oct. 5 (Petra) — The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index
rose 286 points, or 1.05 percent, on Monday to close at 27,477
points.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 91 points, or 0.18 percent,
to finish at 51,268 points, while the S&P 500 index advanced 51
points, or 0.67 percent, to reach 7,774 points.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices declined by
approximately $2 to settle at $89.18 per barrel.
