Beirut, October 12 (QNA) – The Public Health Emergency Operations Centre at Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced today that the cumulative death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since Mar. 2 has risen to 4,389, with 12,424 people injured.
In a statement, the centre said that the total number of casualties from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since Oct. 8, 2023, has reached 8,956 deaths and 30,660 injuries.
Meanwhile, the towns of Froun and Yater warned residents against entering olive groves without first consulting the relevant authorities, amid fears of cluster munitions and landmines left behind by the latest Israeli attacks.
It is worth noting that Lebanon and the Israeli entity signed a US-mediated framework agreement last June, outlining security arrangements that include the gradual deployment of the Lebanese army and the withdrawal of occupation forces, alongside measures related to reconstruction and economic recovery. However, implementation of the agreement’s provisions continues to face obstacles. (QNA)
