New York, June 15 (Petra) — The three major U.S. stock indexes
closed higher on Monday, while U.S. crude oil prices fell by more
than $3 per barrel, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) settling at
$81.42 per barrel.
At the close of trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 468
points, or 0.92 percent, to 51,671.
The Nasdaq Composite advanced 795 points, or 3.07 percent, to 26,683.
The S&P 500 gained approximately 122 points, or 1.65 percent, to
close at 7,554.
