Beirut, January 15 (Petra) — The Israeli army struck southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening, targeting homes and infrastructure in several towns in the Bint Jbeil district.
A Lebanese security source told Petra’s correspondent in Beirut that the bombings hit the towns of Aita al-Shaab, Ramyeh, Hanin, Marouhin, al-Dhahirah, Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun.
The source reported that an Israeli reconnaissance plane was observed flying over Beirut and its suburbs. An Israeli drone was seen over Wadi Frun – Qaqaiyat al-Jisr, following a foot patrol by French peacekeepers.
Twenty-five Israeli military vehicles were spotted advancing from the Metula settlement toward the border town of Kfar Kila before halting at Tal al-Nahhas.
According to the source, artillery shelling and Israeli forces conducting combing operations were reported in the Burj Matlin area, on the northern outskirts of Kfar Shouba.
