Amman, January 22 (Petra) — Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah met on Wednesday with Mohamad Maliki Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Education of Singapore, to discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation, particularly in education.
Mahafzah underscored the strong relations between the two nations and highlighted the ministry’s initiatives and programs, notably efforts to modernize vocational education. He emphasized the importance of sharing experiences and fostering collaboration to advance mutual interests.
Osman expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s achievements in education and conveyed his pride in the robust cooperation between the two countries. He praised the Jordanian education system and expressed optimism about strengthening ties across various sectors.
He also shared insights into Singapore’s educational model and commended Jordan for hosting approximately 400 Singaporean students, who are pursuing studies in Arabic language and Islamic studies at Jordanian universities.
