“With an exceptional year marked by 17.4 million tourist arrivals, Morocco has reached a new milestone,” the ministry stressed in a press release, noting that this level also marks a remarkable 43% increase compared to 2019.
The ministry also highlighted that this momentum was particularly evident in December 2024, with revenues reaching nearly MAD 8 billion, an increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2023.
This record revenue not only reflects the Kingdom’s growing attractiveness but also its ability to appeal to a diverse and demanding clientele, as evidenced by a significant 20% increase in tourist arrivals in 2024, according to the same source.
In this regard, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, stressed that “This growth shows that Morocco has successfully adapted to new global trends while capitalizing on its natural, cultural, and human assets.”
“Today, Morocco is focusing on a diversified offer and authentic experiences that cater to the various expectations of travelers, and this is reflected in the figures,” she said.
Beyond its economic significance, these outstanding results highlight the major impact of tourism on job creation and local development, according to the statement.
