NRAA Releases Book Titled “North Al Batinah in the Memory of Omani History”
Muscat, 23 September 2026 (ONA) — The National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) has released a two-volume book titled “North Al Batinah in the Memory of Omani History.” The publication constitutes part of a series aimed to document Omani history, highlight the cultural contributions of Omani governorates and towns and make scholarly findings more accessible to researchers, students and interested researchers.
The book comprises studies presented at a symposium titled “North Al Batinah Governorate in the Memory of Omani History” that was organized by the NRAA in the Wilayat of Sohar in October 2024. The two volumes take the numbers 9 and 10 in the historical and cultural series about Omani governorates and towns. The publication includes 26 research papers and scholarly studies covering historical, political, economic, social and cultural aspects of North Al Batinah Governorate.
