Royal
Cavalry Riders Qualify for 2026 FEI World Endurance Championships
Muscat,
14 Apr (ONA) —— Two riders from the Royal Cavalry, Mahmoud Marhoon Al Foori on
his horse “Electra” and Hisham Saleh Al Farsi on “Plexima”, have qualified for
the 2026 FEI World Endurance Championships, set to take place in AlUla, Saudi
Arabia.
The
Royal Cavalry riders secured their spots after successfully completing the
first day of the Sumor endurance race in France, organized by the International
Equestrian Federation (FEI). The 160 km race featured 86 male and female riders
from various world countries and was divided into five stages: the first and
second stages each covered 40 km, the third 32 km, the fourth 26 km, and the
fifth and final stage spanned 22 km.
The
second day of the Sumor endurance race, covering 102 km, the Royal Cavalry
clinched first place thanks to rider Faisal Ibrahim Al Farsi on his horse
“Kara”. This race consisted of four stages: the first at 32 km, the second at
26 km, the third at 22 km, and the fourth and final stage also at 22 km.
