World Cup Qualifiers for Horseback
Archery Commence in Barka

Barka, 29 Oct (ONA) — Saudi
athletes demonstrated exceptional prowess by capturing all four top positions
during the inaugural day of the World Cup Horseback Archery Qualifiers,
currently underway at Al Rahba Farm in the Wilayat of Barka, South Al Batinah
Governorate.

The three-day qualification event
commenced with intense competition along the Kassai discipline track. Saudi
equestrian Hisham bin Ali Al Tamtami claimed the gold medal and championship
lead with an impressive score of 166.78 points. His compatriot Badr bin Ali Al
Tamtami secured the silver medal with a strong performance of 151.28 points,
while fellow Saudi competitor Abdulhakim bin Mohammed Al Mahdi earned the
bronze medal with 151.08 points.

The competition continues tomorrow
(Thursday) with participants facing the challenging plate discipline track,
while the final qualification day will feature the sequential discipline track.
These crucial sessions will determine the four top-ranked competitors who will
advance to the World Cup Horseback Archery Finals.

The international championship has
attracted 25 elite male and female equestrian archers representing seven
nations: the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and
the Syrian Arab Republic.
