Youth, Women’s Golf Championships Kick Off in Muscat
Muscat,
21 Dec 2025 (ONA) — The competitions for the GCC Golf Championship for Girls
and Youth (Under 13 and 16 for boys and girls) commenced today at the Ghala
Golf Club in Muscat.
Hosted
by the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Oman Golf Association, the
tournament will run until 24 December 2025, featuring an elite group of
promising talents from the national teams of the GCC countries.
The
opening ceremony of the championship was held under the auspices of Sayyid
Hamad bin Abdullah Al Busaidi.
The
male and female players of the Omani National Team have prepared extensively
for their participation in this championship through local training camps and
intensive drills.
The
Oman Golf Association continues its ambitious steps to strengthen the Sultanate
of Oman’s presence on the regional and international sports map by hosting
prominent regional championships for youth categories. The Gulf Youth Championship
represents a significant milestone in the development of golf at both local and
regional levels. Furthermore, it serves as the true foundation for building future
achievements and nurturing the champions of tomorrow.
