Than 137,000 Tourists Visited Oman Onboard Cruise Ships, Yachts in 2025
Muscat,
23 Feb 2026 (ONA) — The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has said that
137,330 tourists visited the Sultanate of Oman onboard cruise ships and yachts
in 2025.
The
Ministry affirmed its determination to develop the sector of cruise ships and
yachts,in partnership with the authorities concerned. The Ministry
explained that efforts will focus on facilitating the reception of
international cruise liners and the attraction of tourists from target markets
in a manner that contributes to the promotion of Oman as a leading maritime destination
in the region.
The
Ministry added that the current season (2025/2026) will see repeated visits to
Oman by cruise ship “Vasco da Gama”, which is scheduled to arrive at the Port
of Salalah on 24 March 2026. Meanwhile, cruise ship “Celestial” is scheduled to
make 5 visits to the Port of Khasab.
The
Port of Khasab also saw Cruise liner “Arua” make its maiden voyage to
Oman.
During
the rest of the current tourism season (2025-2026), “Arua”, which will dock at
Sultan Qaboos port today, is scheduled to make 11 visits to the Port of Khasab
and 5 visits to Sultan Qaboos Port .
