Muscat, 9 Mar 2026 (ONA) — The
Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology today
organized a gathering during which reviewed the objectives and technical and
economic scopes of investment road projects.
The event reflected the Ministry’s
keenness to enhance partnership with the private sector and develop road
infrastructure in accordance with the best global practices.
The gathering reviewed the mechanism
of submitting investment bids and the requirements participation in a manner
that enabled investors to learn about available investment opportunities in
this vital sector. It also included discussion
session during which queries from investors and participating companies were
discussed. The session outlined technical, financial and regulatory aspects
related to projects.
The Ministry of Transport,
Communications and Information Technology affirmed that these projects form
part of initiatives aimed to expand the participation of the private sector in
implementing infrastructure projects, contributing to economic development and
boosting the efficiency of the road network in the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting was attended by Eng.
Said Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information
Technology, government officials, investors and representatives of private
firms.
