Amman, April 16 (Petra) — Total trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD20.2 million on Thursday, with 6.9 million shares traded in 5,644 transactions.
The ASE’s general share price index rose 0.3 percent at the close to 3,791 points.
Of the 102 companies whose shares were traded, 36 posted gains, while 34 declined compared with their previous closing prices.
By sector, the services index rose 0.83 percent, the industrial index increased 0.35 percent, and the financial index edged up 0.01 percent.
