Amman, April 16 (Petra) — Minister of Government Communication and government spokesperson Mohammad Momani said on Thursday that celebrations marking Jordan Flag Day embody one of the most prominent symbols of national identity and reflect values of belonging and loyalty to the nation and its leadership.
Marking Flag Day, celebrated on April 16, Momani said the Jordanian flag serves as a unifying emblem for Jordanians, representing their collective identity and the historical legacy and principles upheld by the nation.
He added that the flag is deeply rooted in Jordanian identity, pride, and dignity, noting that it is honored in schools, reflected across institutions, and remains a source of pride for Jordanians abroad.
He noted that the Arab Army has raised the Jordanian flag in battles of honor and dignity, where it stood as a testament to the sacrifices of martyrs and a symbol of Jordan’s pride and unity over the decades.
Momani said Jordanians raise the flag on national occasions, expressing joy during celebrations and reflecting hope and resilience in the face of challenges.
He concluded by expressing hope that the Jordanian flag will continue to fly high, symbolizing security and stability under the Hashemite leadership.
