Doha, April 20 (Petra) — His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, during a meeting on Monday with Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, emphasized the importance of stepping up efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation that would restore stability to the region.
During the meeting, held at the Amiri Diwan in Doha, the Crown Prince conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah II’s regards to Sheikh Tamim who, for his part, also conveyed his regards to His Majesty.
The meeting covered regional developments, and the need to intensify Arab efforts towards achieving a permanent ceasefire, utilizing dialogue and diplomacy to end tensions.
His Royal Highness underscored Jordan’s full solidarity with Qatar and other Gulf states, stressing that the security of the Arab Gulf states is central to the security and stability of the region.
For his part, Sheikh Tamim expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s solidarity with Qatar, emphasizing the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on regional developments, thereby helping to de-escalate tensions and consolidate security and stability.
Upon his arrival at Doha International Airport, the Crown Prince was received by Minister of Interior and Commander of Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Qatar Zaid Lozi.
