4 Killed, 3 Injured in Israeli Airstrikes on Lebanon

Beirut, May 18 (Petra) — Four people were killed and three injured
on Monday in two Israeli airstrikes on the towns of Duris in Baalbek
District in Lebanon’s Bekaa region and Harouf in Nabatieh District,
the Lebanese Health Ministry said.

The strike on Duris left two people dead and injured two others, and
two died and one was wounded in Harouf, a security source told
Petra’s correspondent in Beirut.

The source also said dozens of towns in the Tyre and Nabatieh
districts came under heavy airstrikes since the morning, coinciding
with artillery shelling in the region.

It also reported displacement of people from Burj al-Shamali in
southern Lebanon following an evacuation order by the Israeli army.
