Palestinian Martyred, Four Others Injured in Israeli Strike Targeting Vehicle in Central Gaza Strip
Gaza, June 02 (QNA) – A Palestinian was martyred Tuesday and several others were injured as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting the central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that a Palestinian was martyred and four others were injured when an Israeli drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle traveling on Salah al-Din Street, east of Deir al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, 73 Palestinians, including patients and their companions, left the Gaza Strip Tuesday through the Rafah border crossing as part of a medical evacuation operation to receive treatment and healthcare outside the territory.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that the operation included 33 patients and 40 companions, bringing the total number of evacuees to 73 people. The evacuation was carried out as part of coordination efforts led by the World Health Organization.
In the same context, the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,942 martyrs and 172,967 injuries.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that since the ceasefire came into effect last October, a total of 933 people have been martyred, 2,868 injured, and 781 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.
Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement through further targeted killings, artillery shelling, airstrikes, and intensive gunfire across several areas of the Gaza Strip. (QNA)
