PORT SUDAN, June 7, 2026 (SUNA) — Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa, affirmed the Ministry’s keenness and interest in the higher education sector due to its close ties with this sector. This came during a reception organized by the administration of Red Sea University on Sunday at its headquarters in Port Sudan in honor of the Minister of Interior’s visit to the Red Sea State. The Minister expressed his pleasure in visiting the university and inspecting its facilities and expansion projects that serve higher education in Sudan. He announced a donation of 300 million Sudanese pounds, along with providing the necessary devices and equipment for the university’s computer laboratory, in coordination with the directorates of the Ministry of Interior and relevant state institutions in the field. He also pointed out the necessity of establishing an alumni association to contribute to supporting the university.BH/BH
