Death Toll from Venezuela Quakes Rises to 1,719

Caracas, June 29 (QNA) – The death toll from the two devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela last Wednesday has risen to 1,719.

Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodríguez stated today that 5,034 people were injured in the two earthquakes, while thousands remain missing.

The United Nations estimates that approximately 50,000 people are missing, as the search for possible survivors continues. (QNA)
