Amman, July 1 (Petra) – The Parliamentary Public Services and
Transportation Committee met with Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo
Wei on Wednesday to discuss expanding cooperation in transportation,
public services, infrastructure, investment, and parliamentary
relations.
Committee Chair Ayman Badadwa said Amman-Beijing ties continue to
deepen, improving the strategic partnership across political,
economic, investment, technological, and cultural fields.
Badadwa said that the committee’s recent participation in the Qingdao
Multinationals Summit in China opened direct communication channels
with major corporations, paving the way for potential strategic
transportation and logistics partnerships.
Committee members said Jordan offers an attractive investment
environment, citing its strategic location, political stability, and
network of free trade agreements. They called for more cooperation
with China in railways, ports, maritime services, and infrastructure
projects.
Guo said that China is committed to strengthening its partnership
with Jordan, describing the Kingdom as a stable and reliable regional
partner.
He said Jordan’s shift toward a knowledge-based economy under its
Economic Modernization Vision (EMV) creates new opportunities for
cooperation in transportation, infrastructure, technology, digital
economy, energy, and investment.
