Israeli airstrikes, controlled demolitions target southern Lebanon towns

Beirut, July 2 (Petra) — Israeli warplanes launched a series of
airstrikes on the town of Baraachit in the Bint Jbeil district of
southern Lebanon on Thursday evening, coinciding with the controlled
demolition of several homes and facilities.

A Lebanese security source told the Jordan News Agency (Petra)
correspondent in Beirut that the Israeli army also carried out
massive demolition blasts in the vicinity of the towns of Kounine, At
Tiri, and Beit Yahoun. The source added that Israeli warplanes
carried out further strikes targeting the towns of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa
and Kfar Tibnit.

In a related development, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health
announced in a statement that the cumulative death toll from the
ongoing military offensive since March 2 has reached 4,298 fatalities
and 12,196 injuries.
