Vancouver, Canada, July 03 (QNA) – Switzerland booked their place in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a commanding 2-0 victory over Algeria at BC Place in Vancouver.
Breel Embolo gave Switzerland an early lead in the 11th minute before Dan Ndoye doubled the advantage just after halftime, finding the net in the 46th minute to seal the win.
The result sends Switzerland into the last 16 while bringing Algeria’s World Cup campaign to an end.
