Amman, July 5 (Petra) – Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal,
Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer
Foundation King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC),
on Sunday inaugurated the KHCC’s new Early Detection Center, which
has been relocated to its new location in Princess Basma Street in
Amman.

The facility aims to facilitate public access to early detection,
prevention, and diagnosis services, and enhance the chances of
detecting cancer in its early stages.

According to a KHCF statement, the new center aims to provide
“comprehensive” early detection, prevention, and diagnosis services
in one location, raise awareness of the importance of regular
checkups, and encourage community members to take proactive steps to
maintain their health.

Talking at the launching ceremony, Princess Ghida noted the
importance of this step as a “new” achievement for the King Hussein
Cancer Foundation and Center, adding that the facility will be a
“valuable” addition that will contribute to strengthening cancer
control efforts in Jordan.

The center offers early detection and diagnosis services for several
types of cancer, including breast tumor screening through
mammography, ultrasound, and clinical check, as well as breast cancer
diagnosis through ultrasound-guided biopsy, and cervical screening
through Pap Smear.

Additionally, the center’s services provide early detection of
colorectal and lung cancer, blood tests, smoking cessation services,
and public health education and awareness programs, reflecting a
“comprehensive” approach to prevention, early detection, and
community health support.
