Paris, July 06 (QNA) – Qatar’s Mubarak Saeed won the men’s 1,500m at the Meeting National Est Lyonnais in France on Saturday, clocking 3:37.09 to finish ahead of a field of European competitors.
His teammate, Mohammed Waheed, finished second in a personal-best 3:37.60, completing an impressive one-two finish for Qatar.
The meeting formed part of the Qatar Athletics Federation’s preparations for the World Athletics U20 Championships, scheduled to be held in Eugene, Oregon, in August.
Both Saeed and Waheed had already secured qualification for the World Athletics U20 Championships in the men’s 1,500m earlier this season. (QNA)
