Seasonal Summer Conditions to Persist Through Friday

Amman, July 7 (Petra) — Mild summer weather is expected to continue
across most regions through Friday, while hot conditions persist in
the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the Jordan
Meteorological Department.

The department said Tuesday’s weather will remain seasonally mild
over much of the country, with low clouds expected to develop over
northern and central areas. Hot weather is forecast to continue in
the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while moderate
northwesterly winds are expected to become active at intervals,
particularly in desert areas.

The prevailing weather pattern is expected to remain largely
unchanged through the remainder of the workweek. Mild summer
conditions will continue across the highlands, plains and other
populated areas, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba are
forecast to remain hot.

Forecasters also expect intermittent low cloud cover over northern
and central regions during the coming days. Moderate northwesterly
winds are forecast to persist throughout the period, occasionally
strengthening, especially across open and desert areas.

Tuesday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 31 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and 29 degrees in West Amman. Highs are expected to reach
27 C in the northern highlands and 28 C in the Sharah highlands,
while the plains are forecast to record 31 C.

The highest temperatures will continue to be concentrated in
lower-elevation areas, with forecasts pointing to 35 C in the Badia,
38 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 39 C at the Dead Sea and 40 C in
both the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
