Tashkent, July 7 (Petra) — Grand Mufti of the Kingdom Ahmed Hasanat
took part on Tuesday in the opening of the First International
Islamic Civilization Forum in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, held under the
theme “A Path of Peace, Tolerance, Science, and Knowledge.”

The forum brings together scholars, thinkers, decision-makers, and
representatives of religious and cultural institutions from more than
50 countries to discuss the values and contributions of Islamic
civilization.

The five-day event, taking place in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez
from July 7 to 11, focuses on promoting the principles of peace,
tolerance, and enlightenment, while highlighting the human values
associated with Islamic heritage.

The forum’s agenda includes academic discussions and international
conferences addressing Islamic civilization, religious sciences,
cultural heritage preservation, manuscript digitization, and
opportunities to enhance global scholarly cooperation.

Special attention is being given to the legacy of Imam Al-Maturidi
and his intellectual tradition through dedicated conferences in
Samarkand and Termez. The program also features sessions on the
heritage of Imam Al-Bukhari and the contributions of the Termez
school to Hadith studies.
