Agricultural Innovation Association Signs MoU with Shanghai IP Platform

Amman, July 7 (Petra) — The Jordanian Agricultural Entrepreneurship
and Innovation Association has signed a memorandum of understanding
(MoU) with the National International Intellectual Property
Operations Platform in Shanghai to strengthen cooperation in
innovation, intellectual property and technology transfer.

According to a statement issued by the association on Tuesday, the
agreement aims to expand international partnerships and promote
entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

The MoU was signed by the association’s president, Dr. Imad
Al-Ayasrah, and Pan Xi, representative of the National International
Intellectual Property Operations Platform in Shanghai.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation to enhance
mutual understanding and promote collaboration in intellectual
property, innovation, technology transfer, trade exchange and the
development of innovation ecosystems in areas of common interest.

It also covers intellectual property advisory services, technology
commercialization and transfer, innovation ecosystem development,
strengthening cooperation between government entities and the
business sector, organizing trade missions, conferences, seminars and
exhibitions, connecting investors with promising projects, and
exchanging information, expertise and best practices.

The memorandum provides for cooperation through information exchange,
joint meetings, in-person and virtual seminars, business matchmaking
programs, delegation exchanges and joint promotional activities aimed
at strengthening institutional cooperation between the two sides.

Al-Ayasrah said the agreement marks an important step toward building
strategic partnerships with leading Chinese institutions and
benefiting from their expertise in intellectual property management
and commercialization.

He added that the partnership is expected to support Jordan’s
innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem while opening new
opportunities for cooperation in technology, investment and knowledge
transfer.

According to Al-Ayasrah, the agreement is part of the association’s
efforts to expand its international network and strengthen
cooperation with specialized global institutions in support of
innovators, entrepreneurs and innovation-driven investment, while
fostering sustainable cooperation between Jordan and China.
