Seasonal Summer Conditions to Prevail Through Saturday

Amman, July 8 (Petra) — Stable summer weather is expected to
continue through Saturday, with temperatures remaining near seasonal
averages across most regions while hot conditions persist in the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the Jordan
Meteorological Department.

The department said Wednesday’s weather will be seasonally mild
across most parts of the country. Low clouds are expected to appear
over northern and central areas, while hot weather will continue in
the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly
winds are forecast to become active at intervals.

The prevailing weather pattern is expected to remain largely
unchanged over the coming days. Mild summer conditions will continue
across the highlands, plains and other populated areas through
Saturday, while hot weather is forecast to persist in the Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Moderate northwesterly winds are expected throughout the forecast
period, occasionally strengthening during the afternoon, with no
significant changes anticipated in overall weather conditions.

Wednesday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 30 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and 28 degrees in West Amman. Highs are expected to reach
26 C in the northern highlands and 27 C in the Sharah highlands,
while the plains are forecast to record 30 C.

The highest temperatures will be recorded in the country’s
lower-elevation regions, with forecasts pointing to 34 C in the
Badia, 37 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 38 C at the Dead Sea, and
39 C in both the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
