Washington, July 08 (QNA) – US Central Command announced on Wednesday that its forces struck more than 80 targets during the strikes it carried out against Iran the previous night.
“US forces struck Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, and more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats in and near the strait (of Hormuz) to degrade Iran’s ability to continue attacking international commerce flowing through the international trade corridor, US Central Command says in a statement.
US Central Command announced previously on Tuesday night the completion of a series of strikes against targets in Iran, claiming the US strikes are in response to Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels that were transiting the Strait of Hormuz. (QNA)
