Kuwait slams Iranian attacks on border posts, oil rig

Amman, July 13 (Petra) – Kuwait condemned on Monday Iranian attacks
on several border posts and an offshore drilling rig operated by the
Kuwait Oil Company.

The attacks caused casualties and material damage, according to the
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry called the attacks “a flagrant violation of
Kuwait’s sovereignty, a serious threat to the safety and security of
its people, and a blatant challenge to international legitimacy and
UN Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026.

The ministry stressed Kuwait’s inherent right under international law
and the UN Charter to take “all necessary measures” to protect its
