Amman, July 14 (Petra) — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj.
Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday met with a German military delegation,
headed by Deputy Chief of the German Air Force Lt. Gen. Kohlhaus.
During a meeting held at the General Command headquarters of Jordan
Armed Forces (JAF) in Amman, the two sides reviewed cooperation and
coordination between the JAF and Germany.
Discussions also went over ways to expand collaboration and exchange
expertise across military and training fields to strengthen defense
capabilities and advance the shared interests of the two armed
forces.
Huneiti highlighted the “strategic partnership” between the JAF and
the German army, stressing the importance of “broadening” cooperation
amid regional developments to enhance security and stability.
For his part, Kohlhaus praised the JAF’s professionalism and high
level of readiness, commending the “strong” Jordanian-German ties.
The meeting was attended by senior JAF officers and the German
defense attaché in Amman.
