Arab Parliament condemns Iranian strike on UAE oil tankers

Cairo, July 14 (Petra) – Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi
slammed on Tuesday the Iranian missile attack targeting two Emirati
oil tankers, the Mombasa B and Al Bahyah, in the southern passage of
the Strait of Hormuz within Omani territorial waters.

The strike killed one crew member and injured several others. Yamahi
expressed condolences to the victim’s family and wished a speedy
recovery for the injured.

Pledging full solidarity with the UAE, Yamahi backed “all measures”
taken by Abu Dhabi to safeguard its sovereignty, economic interests,
and national security.

He called on the international community and the UN Security Council
to hold Iran accountable for its repeated threats to global maritime
navigation in the strait.
