Washington, July 14 (QNA) – US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Tuesday evening that it launched an additional round of strikes against Iran.
It said in a statement that these strikes are intended to continue degrading Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Command indicated that its strikes come as US forces began resuming the naval blockade against Iranian ports and coastal areas.
US President Donald Trump announced Monday the reimposition of a naval blockade against Iran to ensure the freedom and safety of international navigation, while CENTCOM carried out three waves of military strikes against Iran in recent days. (QNA)
