JBA to host ninth diaspora investor conference on Saturday

Amman, July 15 (Petra) — The Jordanian Businessmen Association
(JBA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment and the
Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, will host the ninth
Conference of Jordanian Businessmen and Investors Abroad this coming
Saturday.

The one-day event, held under the theme “Investment Opportunities
with a Global Vision,” is part of the JBA’s strategic efforts to
bolster Jordan’s standing as an attractive destination for foreign
direct investment, the association said in a statement on Wednesday.

The conference aims to connect Jordanian expatriates with the
country’s rapid economic developments and ongoing national
modernization initiatives. It will serve as a platform to explore
emerging investment opportunities across productive and service
sectors to support the national economy.

JBA President Ayman Al-Alawneh said the conference serves as a
critical bridge between local and expatriate Jordanian investors to
exchange expertise and leverage the global networks of the diaspora.

“The association places high priority on maintaining continuous
communication with Jordanian business leaders worldwide, keeping them
informed of local investment prospects and the kingdom’s evolving
regulatory framework,” Al-Alawneh said.

He added that the conference will offer a direct channel for dialogue
with government officials to discuss shared economic interests,
attract foreign capital, protect local investments, and encourage the
repatriation of Jordanian capital into sustainable, high-yield
domestic projects.

Several partnerships and investment ventures are expected to be
announced during the event, reflecting sustained confidence in
Jordan’s economic resilience.

The conference agenda will focus on key topics, including the road
map toward a modernized economy under the Executive Programme of the
Economic Modernization Vision (2026–2029), private sector
contributions to national development plans, and economic diplomacy
strategies aimed at accessing new global markets. Discussions will
also highlight the pivotal role of expatriates in anchoring their
investments within the kingdom.

Ultimately, the event seeks to harness the expertise of Jordanian
investors abroad to enhance Jordan’s regional and international
competitiveness, build robust economic partnerships, and support
sustainable development goals.
